2019 Euroformula Open
Coming off the back of their emphatic BRDC British Formula 3 Championship success the year before, 2019 marks the next step in the relationship between Linus and Double R Racing, as the constellation set out to tackle the pan-European stage with an assault on the F3-based Euroformula Open series.
Taking on nine first-class venues, including eight current Formula 1 world championship tracks, Linus gets his first taste of racing in continental Europe and duly delivers a strong performance to finish fifth in the standings. He also ends the year second among the series rookies and comfortably leads Double R team-mate Jack Doohan throughout the campaign.
While the dominant Motopark squad claim 16 wins from 18 races, Linus is restricted to a pair of podium finishes at the Red Bull Ring and Barcelona, although he does win a non-championship EF Open event at Paul Ricard at the beginning of the year.
2019 also contains outings in the legendary Daytona 24 Hours (courtesy of winning the 2018 Sunoco Whelen Challenge), India’s MRF Challenge and Sweden’s Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia series.
