Swede to sport fresh black, red and white livery
Season begins this weekend at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
Linus Lundqvist will boast a new car livery in the 2022 Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires championship, with the reworked design unveiled in St. Petersburg on the eve of the new season.
Featuring a black, red and white colour scheme, the new livery carries branding from Swedish companies FX Airguns and Jula, which both form part of Lundqvist’s personal sponsor pool.
The base design echoes that deployed by Lundqvist’s team, HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing, in its first campaign in the top-tier NTT INDYCAR SERIES this season.
“It’s cool! I think it looks great,” says Linus Lundqvist. “It’s a simple but efficient design that really stands out on the track. I hope all my fans will find it easy to distinguish – and I will do my best to help by putting it at the front!”
Lundqvist will compete with his trademark start number #26 once again in 2022.
Indy Lights action gets underway on the streets of St. Petersburg on Friday with practice and qualifying. The season-opening race takes place on Sunday, with live streaming available in the official INDYCAR App for selected markets (including Sweden).
